Spring Clean Up Starts Today In Nain

Spring clean up starts today, and goes until Thursday June 28, 2018.

Nain is a beautiful town, so let’s show it off.

All residents are asked to help clean up our town.

Please take this time to help by cleaning up around your house, business and anywhere you think it’s needed.

Use a container to keep the garbage where it belongs.

Did you know cans and bottles can be recycled and the money goes to help the community?

The Nain Inuit Community Government (NICG) looks forward to the participation of local service groups, businesses, homeowners, adults, youth & children, the school and youth groups.

Here are some ways you can help:

Lend a rake, shovel, wheelbarrow, etc. to a friend or neighbor.

Going for a walk? Take a bag with you, pick up some garbage along the way and bring it home for collection.

Don’t drop drink cans, bottles, candy & ice cream wrappers, chip bags, cigarette packs, etc. on the road.
Please don’t litter after clean up.

Use a garbage can or a garbage bag instead of throwing things on the ground.

If anyone has any old vehicles, refrigerators, fridges, oil tanks, hot water tanks, etc. that they would like picked up, please put them on the side of the road for the garbage collectors to pick up.

NICG would like to thank you for doing your bit by keeping Nain clean.
