Seniors Raise Concerns Over Lack of Services (Audio- Inuktitut Only)

Two very concerned citizens are saying that there are no services available for seniors in Nain.
Fran Williams and Rosina Howell are seniors from Nain.

They say when the Nunatsiavut Government has meetings, there should be an interpreter-translator there so people could understand what they are saying.

They also mention that there is a senior’s van that goes in the summer time, and they would like to see at least two ski-doos for the winter for the seniors to get around.

And when it’s winter time, they would like to see people help out the seniors with the shovelling.

They both mentioned that in the Fall there is wood sent to Nain, but it doesn’t last all winter.
And when people sell their wood, it’s too expensive to buy.

Williams and Howell add that in Nain, people should not sell berries, bake apples and wild food, etc.
