The Ice Assistance Emergency Program is sponsored by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).
Robert Elliot is the Director General for Economic Analysis and Statistics and Strategic Policies for DFO.
Elliot says that applications for fishermen are now available online for those affected by the ice conditions, and for those who had their Employment Insurance benefits exhausted in May.
