The Annual Ethel Pijogge Heritage Festival started on April 1st 2017 in Hopedale, NL.
The events for today, April 5th include the beauty pageant at 6:00 p.m. at the Nanuk Centre.
There is no registration fee, and there will be cash prizes.
A community feast goes tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., also at the Nanuk Centre.
Special Guests from ITK will be bringing caribou, and it is a DHSD sponsored meal.
A traditional dress competition goes from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight.
It will take place after the community feast, and will be judged by the special guests from ITK.
A Target Shoot and Skeet Shoot will take place tomorrow from 4 to 6 p.m.
It is $5 for 3 shots, and will be taking place at the old dump.
You must bring your own rifle ammo; shells will be provided for other guns, and there will be cash prizes.
A giant radio bingo gets rolling at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow evening.
Cards will be sold at the Nanuk Centre from 1 to 3 p.m.
The bingo is at 7:30 p.m., due to PST night.
