The Rhubarb Festival in Hopedale is going on until tomorrow.
Today at 1:30 they will hold a HICG Fire Department Firemen’s Challenge.
It will be held next to the new fire hall, and prizes are to be announced.
At 7 pm, they will hold a Rhubarb Cooking Contest for the Best Rhubarb Dish.
The First place winner will get $200.
The Second place contestant will receive $150.
And the Third place winner will take home $100.
The contest is located at the Nanuk Community Centre.
At 9 pm, they will hold a Family Social.
Tomorrow, July 23rd at 6 am, they will hold an Annual Fishing Contest.
The First place winner will receive $500.
The Second place winner will take home $300.
And the Third place winner will receive $200.
At 7 pm, they will have a Fish weigh- in for the Fishing Contest, and it will be located at the Nanuk community Centre.
And at 9 pm, they will hold an Adult Social; details are to be announced.
