Vale has sanctioned the development of the underground deposit at Voisey’s Bay.
This will extend the life of the operation until at least 2032.
An additional 400 full-time positions will be created at Voisey’s Bay to support the underground operations and expanded site services.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the following information sessions to find out more about this exciting project and the potential employment opportunities that will be available in the future.
The first meetings will be in Nain at the Multipurpose Centre on May 9th at 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm.
In Makkovik at the Community Hall on May 10th from 7-9 pm.
In Postville at the Community Centre on May 11th from 11 am -1 pm.
In Rigolet at the Strathcona Building on May 11th at 7-9 pm.
In Hopedale at the Nunatsiavut Government Building on May 12th at 2-4pm, and 7-9 pm at the Multipurpose Centre.
In Goose Bay at the Hotel North 2 on May 18th at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
In Sheshatshiu at the Band Council Building on May 19th at 11 am-1 pm.
And lastly, at Natuashish at the Innu Nation Building on June 6th 2-4pm and 7-9 pm.
