The documentary “Trapped in a Human Zoo” will soon be aired for everyone to see.
This is the story of a lost diary, and a woman’s three year quest to uncover a dark chapter in history.
The diary belonged to Abraham Ulrikab, an Inuk from Labrador who, along with his family, accepted an offer to be exhibited in the world of human zoos.
Author France Rivet wrote a book about Ulrikab- “In the Footsteps of Abraham Ulrikab”.
The documentary is based on Rivet’s book.
“Trapped in a Human Zoo” airs on the Nature of Things on CBC on February 11, 2016.
