Consultation Process On Repatriation With Jamie Brake (Audio)

A consultation process was done earlier this year about repatriation of Inuit remains.

Jamie Brake is an Archaeologist with the Nunatsiavut Government (NG).

He says that his team went to the communities of Nain, Makkovik, Rigolet, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and North West River to ask people a series of questions about repatriation of Inuit remains.

The purpose of the questionnaire is to determine a policy on repatriation of remains for NG.

The team wasn’t able to make it to Hopedale and Postville due to bad weather conditions.
