Hopedale will be getting upgrades to its water system after all.
The Provincial Government will be supplying funding to the North coast community to assist with municipal infrastructure upgrades.
$691,000.00 will be funded for upgrades to water distribution systems in the community.
The $1.1 million cost-shared investment is in addition to over $11.5 million provided to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador City and Wabush through the 2014-17 multi-year Capital Works program.
The Municipal Capital Works program fosters the development of cost-shared projects in a wide range of municipal infrastructure areas.
Typical projects include water and wastewater treatment, roads, recreational facilities and various community initiatives.
