The Torngat Regional Housing Association is still waiting on their building materials to arrive in each community on the north coast.
William Lucy is the Coordinator for TRHA.
Lucy says some building materials arrived in Hopedale, and some materials will be arriving to Nain on the Astron.
Lucy says TRHA does not know when the building materials will arrive in Makkovik, Rigolet and Postville.
As for the 2015 housing repairs, Lucy says there is no one allocated for Nain yet.
He adds Makkovik won’t be having any housing repairs done this year.
And they are still waiting to hear back from three communities for the 2015 housing repairs: Rigolet, Postville and Hopedale.
Lucy adds things are starting to move into place.
He adds that there will be 7 new homes for Nain this year.
The seventh person who will be getting a new home is Abia Zarpa.
Zarpa will be getting a new one-bedroom home.
There are 6 housing lots ready.
TRHA will develop one more lot for the seventh home.
