Eight teams participated in the seventh annual CYN and Mister Volley Ball Tournament this past weekend.
There were two men’s teams from Nain, one men’s mixed team from Natuashish and Nain, and one Hopedale Team.
There were three women’s teams from Nain, and one mixed women’s team from Nain and Sheshatshiu.
“Kill Zone” of Nain took first place in the male division, beating “Russell’s Team”, also from Nain.
In the female division, “Women Rock” of Nain took first place, besting Hit Heads also a Nain team, in the Final game.
All first place winners received t-shirts with logos and embroidery work, while second place finishers received shorts.
The Most Sportsmanlike team was the “Ball of Fun” team of Nain.
The Most Sportsmanlike award for the females went to Crystal Sillitt from Nain.
Ethan Shiwak of Nain won the Most Sportsmanlike award for the males.
Most Valuable Player for the males was Hopedale Resident Freddie Winters Jr.
Skylar Hurley from SSS took female MVP honours.
