Double Stabbing Investigation Continues

The RCMP in Happy Valley Goose Bay are still investigating a double stabbing that occurred in the community on Friday April 24, 2015.

According to the RCMP Media release, last Friday at 3:30 pm, the RCMP were alerted to a medical emergency when a bleeding man went to an unrelated person’s door seeking help.

The victim indicated that he had been stabbed and gave police the location of a female suspect.

Police attended a separate residence and located a second male victim who had been stabbed.

The RCMP responded quickly with first aid at this scene.

Police found the suspect hiding within a closet in a residence.

Physical evidence of the alleged stabbing(s) was obvious inside and outside this residence.

The RCMP arrested a 49 year old woman for two offences of assault with a weapon.

She was held in custody for a court weekend proceeding.

Police have been aided by the RCMP Forensic Identification and General Investigation Sections.

The investigation continues today.
