The 12th Inuktitut Speak-Off will be held in Makkovik this year.
It will take place on March 3rd 2015 at the John Christian Erhardt Memorial School at 7pm.
Christine Nochasak is the Inuktitut Program Specialist for the Eastern Labrador School Board.
She says 8 students along the coast will participate in this event.
Shania Williams and Michaela Palliser are the students from Rigolet, and the Inuktitut teacher is Ellen Adams.
The students from Makkovik are Paulette Rice and Charlie Mae Dyson, and the Inuktitut teacher is Hulda Rice.
Rosie Piercy is the Inuktitut teacher in Hopedale, and the two students are Brenda Flowers and Toni Dicker.
And Joan Dicker is the Inuktitut teacher in Nain, and the students who will participate in this event are Simeonie Merkuratsuk and Althaya Solomon.
The Judges will be Augusta Erwing from Hopedale, Rosina Howell from Nain and Bertha Ford from Makkovik.
