The toilet at the Nain airport has been out of service since December 2014.

Edmunds said that the lift pump that lifts up the sewer to the main line in Nain is causing the freezing.
He also says that Makkovik is just about to lose their service because of the distribution system in the septic tank.
Edmunds says that they are trying to get dry toilets or propane powered toilets to be installed as soon they are ready from manufacturers.
These will be made readily available for a temporary solution.
