The Jens Haven Memorial School attended the Virtual Cross Country Running on October 23rd, and we have the unofficial results.
Here are the competing team/runners; Jens Haven Memorial School here in Nain, Mushuau Innu Natuashish School in Natuashish, Amos Comenius Memorial School in Hopedale, J.C Erhardt Memorial School in Makkovik, Northern Lights Academy School in Rigolet, Lake Melville Academy School in North West River, Eric G Lambert School in Churchill Falls, Mealy Mountains Collegiate School in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the Menihek High School in Labrador City.
The Junior Boys division ran 3K with 25 runners in total and five teams running.
The results for the school teams’ placings are; 1ST place went to the MMC Goose Bay, MHS Labrador City went 2ND place, JCEM Makkovik came 3RD, JHMS Nain came 4TH and EGL Churchill Falls came 5TH.
In the JHMS Junior Boys Individual Placings are; John Dicker came 6th with the timing of 12:48, Gilbert Obed came 11th with the time of 13:03, Jamal Kohlmeister came 18th with the timing of 14:53, Alex Andersen came 24th with the timing of 19:13 and Denzel Dicker came 25th with he timing of 19:47.
The Junior Girls ran 2K; there were 41 runners in total with six teams running.
The results for the school teams are; MMC HV-GB came 1ST, JCEM Makkovik came 2ND, JHMS Nain came 3RD, EGL Churchill Falls came 4TH, MHS Labrador City came 5TH and ACMS Hopedale came 6TH.
The JHMS Junior Girls Individual Placing are; Serenity Ivany came 10th with the timing of 9:52, Melody Lampe came 12th with the timing of 10:06, Peyton Dicker came 13th with the timing of 10:08, Savannah Ivany came 22nd with the timing of 11:35 ad Serena Blake came 25th with the timing of 12:29.
The Senior Boys Division ran 5K; there were 29 runners with 6 teams running.
The results for the school teams’ are; JHMS Nain came 1ST, MMC HV-GB came 2ND, JCEM Makkovik came 3RD, NLA Rigolet came 4TH and AMCS Hopedale and MHS Labrador tied for being 5TH.
The JHMS Senior Boys Individual placing are; Garnet Nochasak came 2ND with the timing of 19:57, Samuel Jararuse Flowers came 3RD with the timing of 20:06, Trevor Dicker came 5TH with the timing of 20:16, Shannon Holwell came 6TH with the time of 20:17 and Curtis Dicker came 15th with the timing of 23:07.
