Most of the daycares on the in north coast communities opened earlier than the one in Nain this fall, with the exception of Postville.
Jenny Lyall is the Regional Daycare Operator for Nunatsiavut Government.
She says the daycare operations are going well, but they had to change few programs due COVID-19.
Lyall says the centres in Rigolet, Makkovik and Hopedale opened their doors August 29, with Nain opening its doors October 13.
Lyall says the Nain daycare staff was in training for Early Childhood Education Certificate courses at the Pigutsavik Centre, and didn’t complete their exams till October 9.
