Update on SMARTICE

The SmartICE program is a partnership with Nunatsiavut Government, the industry, the Memorial University and the Government of Canada.

We spoke with Rex Holwell Jr. who is the Northern Production Lead with SmartICE.

He says there are no students training in the program but will get more people end of June.

Holwell went out to Nain Bay with two trainees with the Smart-Kamutik yesterday.

He says he will be going once a week to different routes depending on where people are requesting him to go.

He adds that if you want to see his progress, you can go to the website at www.siku.org.
