Town Clean-up and Property Clean-up (Dated May 25, 2022)

The Nain Recreation Department and CYN will be hosting a Town Clean up next month.

It will be on June 12, 2022, starting from 1 to 5pm meeting down to the town dump.

Gloves and garbage bags will be provided, along with a picnic and refreshments near the East Ramp at 5pm.

There are prize draws of two draws for grocery hampers valued at $200, gift package of three free bingo cards, two recreation cards and one fire department card, and a children’s bike for participants 12 years and younger.

Anyone in the community can also do a property clean-up starting on Saturday, May 28.

There are prize draws of a grocer hamper valued at $250, free water & sewer for a year valued at $200, and a $50 Northern gift card.

Participants have a choice to do before and after pictures, but it is not necessary.

Properties that have already been cleaned up before Saturday can also enter.

Removal of a truck, car or skidoo is available.

Participants must call the town office to enter your property and they will view the property.

The clean ups are sponsored by the Nain Inuit Community Government, the Nain Recreation Department, CYN, and the Fire Department.
