Tornagat Secretariat held a photo contest for their 2019 Nunatsiavut Stewardship Calendar.
The deadline for the contest was Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
Meredith Percell is the Wildlife and Plants Research Manager.
She says they received 100 submissions from people in Nunatsiavut, which was quite hard to make decisions on.
Percell says they chose 12 photos for the months of the year taken in Nunatsiavut, plus another 3 for the covers.
They picked 5 contest winners who received cash.
She says the winners included: Brandon Pardy, Danielle Baikie, Danika Winters and Eldred Allen.
A cash price of $300.00 was donated to the Food Bank from one of the winners.
The photo submissions they received ranged from Nunatsiavut landscapes and animals and scallops.
