Torngat Fish Producers Cooperative is waiting on the ice conditions to be more favourable for the boats to start running.
Keith Watts is the General Manager.
He says the Makkovik plant is working on installing new equipment before it opens to start the crab fishery.
Watts says the Nain fishplant will also be getting ready probably first week of July.
The plant engineers are ready to come once everything is ready.
But right now everyone is still waiting for the ice conditions, which is being monitored daily.
