Third Day of the Salmon Festival

Today, Friday, July 29th, 2022 is the third day of the Salmon Festival for the residents of Rigolet.

At 2:30pm, there will be a lollipop scrabble for children and youth ages 18 years and younger at the net loft.

There will be a salmon cooking contest starting at 4pm, participants must submit their prepared salmon at the net loft for judging.

From 8pm to 12am, youth will have their dance with DJ Jason Thistle.

The theme for the dance is to dress in neon, with a $2 entry fee for kids and $3 for adults.

Infants ages zero up to children in grade 3 will have their dance from 8 to 9pm, children from grade 4 to grade 6 will have their dance from 9 to 10pm and anyone in grade 7 to grade 12 with people who are 18 years of age and older will have their dance from 10 to 12am.

Canteen and glow sticks will be sold and a parent or a babysitter must accompany infants ages zero to four years of age.

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 30th, is the last day of the festival.

At 9:30am, registrations are open for the Rigolet Challenge.

Booth Games will start from 10am to 12pm with $1 for adults and 50 cents for children.

The Rigolet Challenge starts at 10am tomorrow morning for anyone 19 years of age and older with a fee of $5 per person.

Teams must consist of a maximum of three players.

Anyone 19 years of age starts their water relay at 1pm at the net loft.

At 4pm, there will be a Miss Pretty Piggy contest for anyone 18 years of age and older.

The Salmon Fsetival Take-away Supper will begin at 5pm.

Fireworks will begin at 8:30pm at the docks.

The BYOB Party will start at 10pm until 2am with DJ Jason Thistle.

There’s a $10 entry fee and anyone can dress up from the decade you were born for the theme of the party.

Tickets will be sold tomorrow from 10am to 12pm at the net loft and 8 to 9pm at the community hall.
