One of the OK Radio Producers called some of the stores along the coast to see if they are ready for the winter before the Labrador Marine Inc closes the shipping season for 2022.
Commercial and residential freight must be received by at Goose Bay docks by Thursday, November 10 at 7pm to guarantee delivery.
The manager of the Hopedale Franks Store says they’re doing okay, they’re getting their supplies every week, even though there are some supplies that are hard to get.
Tony Chiarelli is the new Manager for Northern Store in Nain.
Chiarelli says they are fully stocked and ready for the winter.
They will be getting all ranges of supplies coming on the boat such as Christmas ornaments, snowmobiles, and everything they need for the winter.
The OK Radio will attempt to see if other stores are getting ready.
