The OKâlaKatiget Radio contacted the stores in Nain and Postville to see what they have in stock, the Labrador shipping season closes next Friday, November 13th.
Winston Sheppard is the Manager for the Variety Shop Inc. in Postville.
He says that they are mostly ready for the winter and hoping to get the rest of his freight.
Sheppard says he received three pallets of freight and is waiting on drinks, groceries, clothing and building materials.
Pat Grant is the Manager for Quick-stop here in Nain.
She says she hasn’t had any problems with shipments this year.
Grant says they have received all big shipments for the winter but still waiting on the small shipments.
Herman Webb is the Manager for the Hayne’s General Store.
He says he hasn’t gotten half of his shipment yet.
Webb says they have received furniture, Christmas supplies, gifts, hardware, and groceries.
Michelle Riley is the Manager for the Nain Northern store.
She says they have a big stock in the process and is on the way.
Riley adds that they are waiting for everything else to come and get ready for the winter.
