The 1st Sports meet Alumni will be taking place here in Nain from October 10-14, 2019.
Vyann Andersen is the Mental Health and Addictions Worker with the DHSD in Postville.
She says there will be participants from along the coast; Nain, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik and Rigolet.
During the sports meet, they will be holding many different sporting events such as Volleyball, Table Tennis, Archery, Inuit Games, Cross Country Running, Track and Field.
She adds that they are looking for more participants; in Rigolet 1 male and 2 female, in Makkovik, 2 boys, and in Postville, 3 male.
Andersen says that it hasn’t been determined if there will be a 2nd sports meet, depending on the funds and success.
