Senior’s Summer Program

This week is the last week for the Seniors Summer Program this year.

Keryn Andersen is the Program Coordinator for the seniors.

She says the programs takes place at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Centre from 1 to 3pm.

The schedule for the week is as follows:

Today is Carnival Day, where the seniors dress up funny and get a chance to win two bingo cards, one from Recreation and other from Fire Brigade.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18 will be picnic day out by the JS Centre.

Seniors will have card games on Wednesday.

Thursday, August 20th will be merchandise bingo.

Throughout the Senior’s Summer Program, their names are entered for a draw for a chance to win a grocery hamper valued at $250.

Friday, August 21st is the last day for the Seniors Summer Program.

Dinner will be served followed by bingo with cash prizes, and the door prize will be drawn for the end of the program.

Andersen adds that the senior’s van is available and the number to call is 922-2944.

Seniors are asked to wear masks in the van at all times where social distancing cannot be maintained.
