The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Amundsen vessel will hold a Science Day Event in Nain.
The Amundsen Science is in partnership with the Nunatsiavut Research Centre in Nain.
We spoke to Carla Pamak, Inuit Research Advisor.
On Wednesday, July 19 the CCGS Amundsen will tour the Illusuak Cultural Centre, and the Nunatsiavut Research Centre.
There will also be a Research open house along with presentations and performances by the Nain First Drummers.
From 9-12pm they will go ahead with the tours, along with a science demonstration at the wharf.
At 2-4pm they will hold their research open house located at the Illusuak theatre, along with prizes to be won.
In the evening from 7-9pm they will have their presentations and performances located at the Illusuak theatre.
This event is for all ages, there is a lot of prizes to be won, and the Artist Studio will also be open for craft sales.
Pamak also adds that the Coast Guard Ship will only arrive to Nain, so this event is only for the community of Nain.
