The Salmon Festival in Rigolet will not be going ahead this year.
Charlotte Wolfrey is the AngajukKâk for the Rigolet Inuit Community Government.
She says that there will be no festival because there is no place to hold the activities.
She adds that the Northern Lights Academy School did not give RICG permission to use the gymnasium over the summer.
In other news from Rigolet, Wolfrey says that the only other work that will be done in Rigolet this summer is that structures will be placed over the valve chambers around the community.
