The Nain Department of Health and Social Development will be holding a safety program called “Life on the Edge Program” this is for youth ages 15-35 years.
On Monday February 25 and Feb 26th youth will learn about ice safety, avalanche safety, basic GPS usage and how to read maps.
They will watch the Umiak 1 sail into Edwards Cove and to learn where the ice bridge crossings are and how to make an emergency shelter.
