Rise at the Gas Pump Tomorrow

Gas prices for the north coast are frozen for the first week of November every year.

The oil tanker assisted by the ice breaker came into town on June 23, 2018.

Since then the gas prices were still frozen.

Look for fuel price increases at the pumps this week.

The consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices is forecasting a 3.5 cent a litre jump for gas and just under 2.5 cents a litre for diesel.

As for home heating and stove oils, they are gong up as well this week according to spokesman George Murhpy, by two and a half cents as well.

Murphy is citing shortfalls in oil and increasing pressure on gas supplies, as the main reasons for the price increases.
