It was a busy afternoon for the residents in Nain on Wednesday, October 21st.
First, at 2pm, the Swearing in of Nunatsiavut Government Re-elected President Johannes Lampe took place outside of the Illusuak Cultural Centre.
Then at 5pm, a supper was held for the Residential School Survivors at the Illusuak Centre.
Rutie Lampe is the Mental and Addictions worker for DHSD.
She says herself and co-worker, Elsie Russell arranged the supper event.
Lampe said there was a good turnout of 25-30 people.
During the event, the Residential School Survivors Apology Plaque was also unveiled.
