On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians are asked to pause in memory of the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service.
The North Coast schools of Labrador are holding their ceremonies on Thursday, November 7th.
The Jens Haven Memorial School in Nain will be starting their assembly at the 4-12 gym at 10:50 am.
Kids have been decorating, and there will be a poem and poster contest.
In Hopedale, they start at 10:50 am at the Amos Comenius Memorial School gymnasium with a regular assembly with some songs and speeches.
The RCMP and Canadian Rangers will also be there.
Carmine Sheppard is the Principal for B.L. Morrison School in Postville.
She says the ceremony will start at 10:50 am at the school gym.
They will bring poppies on the cross, do poems and there will be a short movie.
The Canadian Rangers and the Junior Rangers will be there.
