There is a recall on 2 different kinds of Alasko Brand IQF frozen fruit raspberries.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued this recall, due to reports of illnesses linked to the fruit, and the CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
The raspberries have a best before date of August 1, 2023 and the Antioxidant Blend’s best before date calls for October 11, 2023.
The frozen fruits were distributed to Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario.
The agency notes that people with Norovirus illness usually develop symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and stomach cramps withing 24 hours to 48 hours, but possibly as early as 12 hours.
