The Department of Health and Social Development has partnered with the Nain Family Resource Center for a Weekly Prenatal Class for expecting parents.
Joanne Moores is the Public Health Nurse with DHSD.
The Prenatal Classes will be held each week for 5 weeks every Wednesdays starting 5pm, located at the Family Resource Center.
Last week they held their first Prenatal Class.
They are doing the classes a bit different this year, they will begin with preparing a healthy meal that is an affordable price, and everyone will prepare the meal, than begin on the Topics.
Your partner and your child/children are also welcome to attend this program. The FRC Staff will have events planned for your child/children while the meal is being prepared, along with during the class.
The topics for this 5 week class began with Nutrition, than 9 months of Change, Labour and Delivery, Post Partum, and Breastfeeding. At the end of each class there will be a door prize, and the prize is a box of food items of what has been prepared that evening of each class.
