The 100 year commemoration event began in Nain on Sunday, September 22nd.
The OKâlaKatiget TV and Radio Department were invited to record this event.
The opening and closing ceremony was held on Monday, September 23rd at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Center followed by Okak Descendant Interviews.
The descendants had an afternoon of Art as a Healing workshop that held a circle of storytelling, sang a hymn, and had a closing prayer for the event.
Topics were also discussed about what their concerns were and what questions they had.
