Here are the November year end reviews from 2019.
On November 1st, 2019, the Nain Youth Center held their first Halloween Haunted House and they raised monies towards the Nain Moravian Church and raised $53 dollars in total.
On November 5th, the community of Nain ran out of gas at the Woodward’s Oil ltd gas station.
Then on Saturday, November 6th, residents in Hopedale also ran out of gas at their local gas station.
Also on November 5th, all across Canada, Guy Fawkes night was celebrated.
The Illusuak Community Centre in Nain was finally completed on November 5th.
On November 7th, The DHSD in Nain hired on a new Youth Outreach Worker for Nain, Kim Oliver was hired on.
Nov 8th, The Torngat Regional Housing Association held their annual board meeting in Happy Valley-Goose Bay; they held their re-elections for the new Chair person and vice chair.
Judy Dicker from Hopedale was elected for Chair person this year and Margie Fox from Nain is the new Vice Chair person.
November 8th, Hopedale celebrated their annual Jobe J Volley Ball Tournament and it was their 24th annual.
On November 13th, The Creative Arts Festival held its 44th annual Festival.
Nov 18th, the Nunatsiavut Government, partnered with Tradition and Transition with the new app titled “Inuttitut Kautamât UKauset, Inuttitut Everyday Words” is available on the app store or the Google Play.
The Jens Haven Memorial Huskies won Gold in the 3A/4A Volleyball Regionals both Male and Female Divisions.
Nov 19th, the Nunatsiavut Assembly held their sitting in Hopedale.
The official grand opening of the Illusuak was held on November 19th.
On November 22nd the 2nd Annual Gussie Bennett Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament was held.
