Newfoundland and Labrador reported yesterday there have been 7 more deaths in the past two weeks due to the pandemic to 321.

“Sometimes the death total from previous weeks is adjusted to data availability after the reporting period,” said Health Department, Laura Thomas.

And added from time to time, data reporting can be delayed and adjustments are made when necessary.

In the beginning of the year, it has announced a total of 10 new deaths in its by-weekly updates. The age and regional breakdowns, however reveal a total of 2.

There were 14 hospitalizations since February 12-25, down from 21 in the previous two weeks. 3 of the new hospitalizations required critical care, up from 1 in the previous update.

Since the last update, there have 4 deaths reported in the Eastern Health region, 2 in Central, and 1 in Labrador Grenfell Health.
