Nain Weather Bot, Pamak & Co

A Local Resident of Nain found an easy way to show travellers the weather picture of Nain from the Air strip.

Josh Pamak is the resident from Nain.

Just before he came home for the Easter holidays, he made a Weather Network called, Nain Weather Bot.

He came up with the idea because he seen a lot of people who were travelling from Goose Bay to Nain requesting pictures of Nain while they were on weather hold.

He says he figured it would be easier for them to have that automatically done for them.

The Bot is built by using a Raspberry Pi Zero (a tiny single board computer) with a camera attached to it.

There is a simple program that takes a picture and uploads it to Twitter every 20 minutes between 6am and 6pm.

Pamak says anyone can use the Weather Bot on Twitter @NainWxPXBot and may also make it available on Facebook in the near future.

If you would like to go onto the Weather Bot Website you can do so by, www.twitter.com/NainWxPxBot

Pamak also has a small business selling clothing.

He started his own business selling T-Shirts early in 2018 but only got serious about it in the fall of 2018.

He sells a lot of different clothing products like T-Shirts, Hoodies, and Leggings.

Recently he has been selling Dresses, Skirts, Fitted Tang Tops, Phone Cases, and Underwear.

There is a lot of interest from Labrador but he also gets orders from other Inuit Regions, in different parts of Canada and he even made a few sales in the United States.

People can buy his products with Credit Card, Pay Pal or you can order with email transfer at pamaknco@gmail.com or contact him on Facebook.
