The Nain Recreation Department held a town cleanup yesterday, Sunday, June 12, 2022.
Lisa Ivany is the Recreation Director.
She says the cleanup went well, there were a lot of people who showed up.
There was at least 80 to 100 people who went down to the town dump and picked up garbage on the way up.
They also had ticket and prize draws near the airstrip.
The prize winners are Kathleen Lyall won a bike, Herman Webb won $50 gift card, Don Dicker Jr won free water and sewer for a year, Trudy Dicker and Christine Dicker won $200 worth of grocery hamper, Shirley Harris won $250 grocery hamper, Louisa Dicker won three bingo cards.
If anyone has any vehicles to remove, can call the Nain Inuit Community Government office at 922-2842.
