The char fishery has slowed down in Nain this week.

There are 6 char licensed fishermen fishing.
She says the fishermen and the fish plant had a good summer.
A total of 44,763 lbs of char has been landed.
Kohlmeister says there are 16 employees working.
She added it will be the last day for the char fishermen to land in their catches.
Meanwhile, the turbot fishery is going well in Makkovik.
Angel Chaulk is the Clerk.
She says the snow crab long liners have finished up for the summer.
A total of 223,872 lbs of snow crab was landed this fishing season and it was a good fishing summer for them.
Chaulk says there are 5 turbot long liners fishing.
A total of 78,954 lbs of turbot has been landed up to date.
There are 27 employees working at the plant.
