The Halloween Dance up the Jeremias Silliett Building was a good turnout last night, a lot of people showed up.
Lisa Ivany is the Recreation Director here in Nain Recreation Department.
There was a costume judging contest, it was for the ages:
0-4 years
5-7 years
8-12 years
13-15 years
16+ years
They won money prizes, first prize with $50, second prize with $25 and third prize of $15.
The Judges chosen were all from out of town.
Ivany says that there were door prizes draws; there were prizes of $100, $75, $50, $25 and an iPad mini.
There was the sucker pull, it was $1 for a sucker, prizes were a Bose speaker, $40, apple charger 2 $25.
There was a cake decorating contest, Pauline Dicker won 1st place with $75, Alexa Chaulk won 2nd place with $50 and Jonathon Christensen won $25.
There were more games, Giselle Obed won a connect 4 game from the Elimination, Silpa Lidd won Cat ears headphones from the spot dance and Andrew Chaulk won on numbers game and got a monopoly game. And they all got a Halloween bag.
