Masks to be Worn on Qajaq W

On Saturday, September 17, 2021, Labrador Marine Inc stated that in the line with the new provincial public health orders, the wearing of non-medical face masks are mandatory for all passengers on the Strait of Belle Isle ferry services.

Under the provincial order, face masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces, including ferries. The following Rules apply:

• Non-medical masks must be worn at all times on the vessel except when passengers are eating or drinking.
• Mask wearing is recommended for children under 5 but is not mandatory.
• Mask wearing is not required for passengers with medical conditions, facial deformities, skin conditions, remembering-cognitive impairment, and respiratory problems.

Labrador Marine Inc appreciates the cooperation and patience of their passengers as they work through the COVID-19 pandemic, states Captain Austin Daley, LMI General Manager. He says, “we ask for your continued cooperation as we return to mandatory mask wearing. By following these public health orders, we keep our people and communities safe and ensure that this essential ferry service continues uninterrupted. Please approach our onboard or onshore staff if you have questions or concerns.”
