OK Radio contacted the Makkovik DHSD to see what they had planned for their Christmas activities for this year.
Gemma Andersen is the Mental Health & Addictions Worker at the Makkovik DHSD.
Here is the schedule for the next couple weeks:
On Friday, Dec. 4th, they will have Diabetes Meals on Wheels.
Monday, Dec. 7th, they will have a Cricket Night with Amalia McNeal.
Dec. 8th is Craft Night with a limit of 8 people starting at 6pm.
On Dec. 9, they will have Senior’s Meals on Wheels.
On Friday, Dec. 11th, they will also have Meals on Wheels for Wellness for Women.
Dec. 12th is Women’s Movie Night.
On Dec. 13th, they will have pictures with Santa from 1-3pm.
This will take place at the wooden platform entering Hebron.
They will have a photographer that can send you your photo or you can also take pictures with your own phone with social distancing of 6 ft. apart.
On Monday, Dec. 14th will be Paint Night with a limit of 8 people starting at 6pm.
On Dec. 15th is Craft Night that is held every Tuesdays starting at 6pm.
They are also accepting letters from children for Santa until December 16th.
