The Makkovik Recreation also has events for Canada Day on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Their day will start with a parade at 11am meeting at the J.C. Erhardt Memorial School, and head on to Indian Head to raise the flag.
There will be prizes of $50 for anyone who got the best decoration bike, the best decorated stroller and best decorated vehicle for children 5 years of age and younger, 6 years to 9 years, and then 10 years to 13 years of age.
There will also be a cake decorating contest with the prizes of $50 for having the best decorated cake, best themed cake, and most creative cake.
They will then go to the arena to play games of golf, ring toss, dart the seal, dart throw, plinko, and bouncy castle with a fee of $1.
The Recreation Department will have a BBQ outside the arena from 12 to 2pm with hotdogs, hamburgers, juice and pop to be served, and prizes will be listed.
The day will end off with fireworks at 10:30pm.
