Sarah Jensen is the Supervisor for Hopedale’s Christian Youth Camp. The theme for the Christian Youth Camp this year is “Our daily bread”
Jensen planned a camping trip for youth ages 9-13 years, to Little Bay South, and she mentions that she tries to hold one camping trip every year.
Jensen mentions some activities planned for the youth while on their trip, that includes Tie-Dye T-shirts, painting, string art, they will be painting a door as well, with a Christian twist, “Jesus is the door to eternity” so their doors will have messages like “Hope, Love, Faith, Peace, Joy” written on them. They will also go swimming, and she has a planned fishing trip for one day. She adds that they will also be learning about the Culture with their 2 camp guides.
Jensen mentions that they will have bible study lessons daily for an hour, with a sing along in the evening. If the weather permits, they will also have camp fire as well.
There is 1 cook, 3 councillors, another councillor pending. There are 20 children attending. They will be leaving Hopedale today, July 25, 2023 and returning Hopedale Friday morning, July 28, 2023.
Jensen would like to give her thanks to the Hopedale congregation for making this possible for the Children, she wants everyone to keep them all in your prayers as they learn about what an awesome God, we all have and building new relationships together.
