Lela Evans of Makkovik has been re-elected as the representative at the House of Assembly for the Torngat Mountains District.
There were three candidates up for election, for the Progressive conservatives – Lela Evans, Patricia Johnson Castle for the New Democratic Party and Devon Ryan for the Liberal Party.
Here are the results as of Saturday, March 27th, 2021.
PC- Lela Evans with 420 votes
NDP – Patricia Johnson Castle – 37 votes
And for the Liberal Party – Devon Ryan with 16 votes.
MHA Lela Evans says that her priority will be access to health care services for her district.
