The two day Language Workshop that was supposed to be held here in Nain on October 19th and 20th is postponed to the New Year.
Shirley Jararuse is the Language Program Coordinator with the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism with the Nunatsiavut Government.
She says that Nickolas Welsh who is from MUN is holding this event.
The participants from Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik and Rigolet were unable to arrive for this workshop due to the weather.
The purpose for this workshop is to help community members become community linguists.
Jararuse adds that they will also be inviting Inuttitut school teachers, curriculum developers for the school, and the Masters that are involved in their Master Apprentice Program along the Nunatsiavut communities.
