The Nunatsiavut schools along the coast are holding Jamarama Day for the Janeway.
Staff and students have a chance for a day in pajamas and donate $2 to help support Janeway.
Lora Dawn Angnatok is the principal for the Jens Haven Primary School in Nain.
She says the majority of the staff and students are wearing pajamas, donating $2 and will be counting how much was donated at the end of the day.
Dean Coombs is the principal for the Amos Comenius Memorial School in Hopedale.
He says 80% of staff and students are in their pajamas and all donations are going to be online donations due to following COVID-19 guidelines and precautions, and keeping on the safe side.
Dion Rideout is the principal for J.C. Erhardt Memorial School in Makkovik.
She says there are a couple primary classes in their pajamas.
There are no donations as of right now, but that may be changing as it was unexpected.
Jarvis House is the principal for the Northern Lights Academy School in Rigolet.
He says there are only certain grades that are into their pajamas.
House says he isn’t sure if the teachers are doing any donations.
