The Hopedale Inuit Community Government are quite busy running operations in their department, even though they are short staffed.
We spoke with Marjorie Flowers the AngajukKâk for the HICG.
She says due to staff shortages they are currently asking Hopedale residents to be patient with them for programs.
Flowers says they will be doing interviews in the next couple of weeks for the Town Clerk Position.
She says the construction projects that was not completed from last year, will be completed this summer, by Budgells Equipment.
The Budgells crew are currently finishing off the distribution project, and right now they are doing the mechanical and electrical inside the building.
She adds they have a Tender out for their Municipal Garage.
They will not have any staff working at the Nanuk Center after June 6, 2023.
Flowers says they are waiting to hear back about funding for the summer student positions.
AngajukKâk Flowers would like to say a big thank you to all her staff members at the Hopedale Inuit Community Government and to the public for being patient.
