Hopedale Canada Day Events

The Hopedale Canada Day celebrations are now posted.

They begin their events with the singing of Anthem at 9:15am.

Then they start off with a few games, such as running race, bike race, 3-legged race, back-to-back race, ball throw, and egg toss.

At 12 noon during Lunch hour, they will have a community BBQ served with a cake located at the Hopedale RCMP Detachment.

1pm will be their Parade followed by best decorated truck with a prize of $200, 4-wheeler with a prize of $100, bicycle with a prize of $75, and a stroller with the prize of $50.

1:30pm they will continue with more games of sneaker kick, skipping race, ball throw, and the flat race with a 1st prize of $400, 2nd prize of $300, and 3rd prize of $200.

In the evening located at the Nanuk Centre they are holding toddler games of crawling race, smiling contest, and best decorated Canada Day hat. 2-year-old running race, ball throw, and find your parent, and 3-year-old running race, ball throw and find your parent.

Seal crawl, paper airplane throw, monkey dance, bean bag toss, owl hop, blindfold find your partner, go get, wheelbarrow race, and skipping race.

All games prizes will be 1st place of $15, 2nd place of $12, and 3rd place of $7.
