The Town of Happy Valley- Goose Bay advises on Wednesday, September 26 is declared Happy Valley Day.
Town Mayor Wilson (Wally) Andersen along with members of the Council signs an Official Proclamation declaring September 26 as “Happy Valley Day”.
September 26, 2018 will mark the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of Happy Valley.
On September 26, 1943, John Broomfield, Gilbert Saunders and Thorwald Perrault along with their respective families settled of what was to be named “ Happy Valley”.
Members of the public and media were invited to his Worship Mayor Andersen and the Town Council in commemorating this important date in our community’s history.
